8月25日,在于洪区南阳湖街道职工书屋内,由市总工会主办,于洪区总工会承办的“烽火映丹心 书香砺征程”纪念中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年读书分享会正在火热举行。6位来自不同行业的分享者,用他们慷慨激昂的讲述,让大家从不同的书籍中,看到了中国人民在抗日战争中表现出的不屈不挠、勇于牺牲的精神。

勿忘历史激发报国之志

第一位出场分享的是全国劳模、沈阳华兴防爆器材有限公司工程师王家强。“《工程师的胜利》这本书真的非常好。读了书中那些关于战争中科技力量发挥关键作用的阐述,让我对技术与战争、技术与胜利之间的紧密联系有了更为深刻的感悟,让我对自身工作价值有了全新认知。”王家强说,在当今时代,虽然我们身处和平环境,但科技的发展日新月异,国际竞争日益激烈,作为一名一线技术工人,要不断提升自己的技术能力和综合素质,在平凡的岗位上创造不平凡的业绩。“我相信,只要我们每一个人都能在自己的岗位上尽职尽责、勇于创新,就一定能够为国家的繁荣富强和民族的伟大复兴贡献自己的力量。”

市劳模、市第六十中学正高级教师段艳侠分享的《抗战为什么赢》和于洪区迎宾路街道机场社区郭卫东分享的《1931—1945的中国抗战》,都是抗战题材的书籍。他们表示,抗战的胜利告诉我们,一个民族的团结是战胜一切困难的法宝,一个国家的自强是实现复兴的根本。

书香砺征程

守护和平让未来更美好

于洪区南阳湖街道景荣社区工作者周游分享《拉贝日记》、于洪区陵西社区卫生服务中心护士赵若含分享《南京大屠杀》。赵若含说:“我们铭记,是为了让这样的苦难永远不再重演。”周游表示,是许许多多像拉贝这样的普通人,在最黑暗的夜里,用勇气和善意努力地点亮了一束光。

沈阳永安经开区党政综合办主任彭勃曾因为宣传于洪区文旅爆火全网。她分享的《于洪区志》,让人们了解到在于洪区这片土地上,曾有无数英烈,用他们的铁骨和热血,为今天的幸福生活筑就根基。“区志里的一页页,档案里的一行行,不是冰冷的文字,是滚烫的热血,是不灭的魂!分享这些故事,不是要沉浸在悲伤里。铭记他们,就是守护我们精神的根。”彭勃饱含深情地说,我们要珍惜这来之不易的和平,努力奋斗,让未来生活更加美好。

市总工会相关负责人表示,读书分享会让我们以伟大的抗战精神为指引,从历史中汲取力量,在阅读中坚定信念。

Flames of War, Loyal Hearts; Reading Inspires the Journey Ahead — Shenyang Federation of Trade Unions Hosts Book Sharing Session to Commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War

On August 25, at the Workers’ Reading Room of Nanyanghu Subdistrict in Yuhong District, the Shenyang Federation of Trade Unions hosted, and the Yuhong District Federation of Trade Unions organized, a book-sharing session themed “Flames of War, Loyal Hearts; Reading Inspires the Journey Ahead.” The event commemorated the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Six speakers from different industries gave passionate accounts, allowing participants to see through different books the indomitable spirit and heroic sacrifice of the Chinese people during the war.

Never Forget History, Inspire the Will to Serve the Nation**

The first to share was Wang Jiaqiang, a national model worker and engineer at Shenyang Huaxing Explosion-Proof Equipment Co., Ltd. “《The Engineer’s Victory》is a truly excellent book. Reading its insights on the decisive role of science and technology in war deepened my understanding of the close link between technology and victory. It gave me a new recognition of the value of my own work,” Wang said.

He added that although we live in a time of peace, rapid technological development and growing international competition make it crucial for frontline technical workers to constantly improve their skills and overall abilities.“I believe that as long as each of us fulfills our responsibilities and dares to innovate, we can make extraordinary contributions in ordinary positions, and contribute to national prosperity and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.”

Duan Yanxia, a municipal model worker and senior teacher at Shenyang No. 60 Middle School, shared insights from <Why China Won the War of Resistance>, while Guo Weidong from the Airport Community of Yingbin Road Subdistrict in Yuhong District shared <China’s War of Resistance 1931–1945>. Both emphasized that victory in the War of Resistance teaches us that national unity is the key to overcoming all difficulties, and self-reliance is the foundation for national rejuvenation.

Reading Inspires the Journey Aheadm, Safeguard Peace, Create a Better Future

Zhou You, a community worker from Jingrong Community of Nanyanghu Subdistrict, shared <The Rabe Diaries>, while Zhao Ruohan, a nurse from Lingxi Community Health Service Center, presented <The Nanjing Massacre>. “We remember so that such suffering will never happen again,” Zhao said.

Zhou added that countless ordinary people like John Rabe lit small beacons of courage and kindness in the darkest nights.

Peng Bo, Director of the General Office of the Party and Government of Yong’an Economic Development Zone in Shenyang, who once gained nationwide attention for promoting Yuhong District’s culture and tourism, shared <The Chronicle of Yuhong District>. The book highlighted the countless heroes who shed blood and sacrificed their lives on this land to build the foundation for today’s happy life.

“The pages of the district chronicle and the lines of archival records are not cold words—they are burning blood and immortal souls! Sharing these stories is not to wallow in grief. To remember them is to safeguard the roots of our spirit,” Peng said with emotion. She called on everyone to cherish hard-won peace, strive, and create a better life for the future.

According to a representative of the Shenyang Federation of Trade Unions, the book-sharing session guided participants with the great spirit of the War of Resistance, drawing strength from history and strengthening conviction through reading.
